Prior to joining AIMS, Foutse earned a BSc in Mathematics, with a minor in Computer Science​from the University of Buea, Cameroon, after which she took courses in Applied Statistics at MASTAT, Yaoundé, Cameroon. She did her Co-op internship at Université Paris 13, where she discovered a simple way of implementing Machine Learning algorithms on heterogeneous architecture using the mean-shift algorithm developed at the Laboratoire d’Informatique de Paris Nord (LIPN). A self-described Data Science student with interests in Deep Learning, she is currently completing a Master’s at Université Paris Saclay.
